a tooth for a tooth
this is a sequel to the continuing saga of my root canal. nobody told me it’d take so many visits to the dental abu ghraib to have this single molar to be bored, filled and reconstructed. today was my fourth visit and i still have to go again on wednesday. arrrrgh! i don’t want to imagine how much this single tooth is costing now. the manhours of the dentist and the technician alone would already cost a small fortune. good thing the medical insurance is footing most of the bill. for sure, we’re already reaping far more benefits compared to the small monthly contributions we have been shelling out to the krankenkasse. hm, following a semi-contorted logic, that would be like saying that the german tax- and insurance-payers are paying for my tooth-repair! hah, now i feel smug. hehe.

hmm.. had my root canal last yr.
mga 3 sessions lang na talagang super torture yung gums ko (grabbbbeeee!!!). dito sa wien sagot ng krankenkasse yan eh, lahat. didn’t have to shell a single euro for the whole procedure.
hope u started ur week right ruthie! tc!

thanks, thess. oo nga no? dami ring “homeless” dito. a lot of them have dogs, too, ’cause they get additional money for the pet. the state cannot let the pet go starve, now, could they?
peepai, i didn’t pay for the RCT itself, but i had to contribute for the crown. start the week right by going to the dentist? paradoxical, my dear! hope your one was better!

Out of subject: damn those homeless ones with dogs…I mean, they’re using them (the poor animals) to get extra for their so-called bumming luxury? Forgive the madness but I just can’t stop myself from getting pissed with that part.
On the friendlier side, hope you feel better for the upcoming vacation. Smile soon!

i had root canal about 10 years ago.
and recently, i was told that i have to have that same tooth replaced with porcelain, accck! i haven’t gone back to the dentist though.
i asked the dentist if going through root canal was worth it and then she said, “root canal will just help the dead tooth stay intact for a couple of years and afterwards it will still erode.” gee.

I hope you’re feeling better now Ruth!

tin, buti nga it lasted 10 yrs. pag may crown, it’s supposed to last longer than just a couple of years. well, supposedly. let’s see…
karen, i was. until i had to return this morning for the crown. we’ll make another check tomorrow and hopefully, that’s it.
i really hate having to go to the dentist. sitting there helpless with your mouth wide open. sus, there was a time, natatawa ako kasi there were 4 (!) equipment inside my mouth at one time. tapos the dentist was squinting, poking and probing, tapos ang lapit pa ng face nya. basta, nakakatawa na nakakaawa sa sarili, hahaha!!!
