hilda: i guess it's exciting if you have the luxury of time and a spare car. as it is, we'll probably have to make do with what's available rather than insist on what we want. haaaay....

shatzli and aprillassy: a second hand car is not a palatable option. with an imminent possibility of relocating, we're not buying; just leasing.

jet and glo: i wish i could see where this predicament is leading us... other than more unplanned-for expenses, haaaayyyy....

tito rolly, swerte mo sa sasakyan mo. sabi nila, japanese cars really give the best value for money. seems it's true, no?

pinayhekmi, we're leasing only because we're hoping to move elsewhere in the year or so, and we'd like to have less ties as possible that will keep us here. otherwise, purchasing it should be.

xtine: naku, germans would DIY their houses but not their cars! hahaha!!! no, it's for insurance reasons kasi. you've got to do it the 'official' way, otherwise, if something happens, the insurance might not cover it... and actually, the opel was a second-hand car when we got it. yun nga lang, buying is not an option right now.

toni, sus, stay-at-home yaya nga, di pwede, stay-at-home mechanic pa! :) wish ko lang!

I'm not a car aficionado pero nasayangan pa rin ako ng slight. ANYWAY, pag bumisita kayo dito, isama niyo na si Emil diyan. :) Stay-at-home mechanic. Ay pero hindi nga pala siya accredited. :( Nasa abilidad naman yun diba?

Ack! That absolutely sucks. Good luck leasing. Is it a better option there than purchasing? Here leasing is cheaper but restrictive. Financing a purchase is possible but financially burdesome. Good luck!

HAh! I drive a 1989 lite ace. Well, it may look dilapidated but is still street worthy. Never stopped in the highway unless I want it to. Never broke, too. And I drive from Pasig all the way to Alabang and back. You just can't imagine the beating that car had undergone. After office hours, it's filled to the brim because of hitchhikers till a certain point in Alabang.

I used to have a mechanic like your Emil but unfortunately, he passed away. Sayang!
