my FIFA world cup commentaries
90 minutes. most of which passes by with virtually nothing happenning. so can i help it if my attention strays and notes that:
- germany probably has one of the most beautiful national anthem– both the music itself and lyrics. the flag, too, actually. pity that they never (!) display their flags except during football matches.
- germany’s goalkeeper looks like david hasselhof
- the croatian team look like harlequins in their tricots
- the brazilians look like chiquita bananas in theirs
- and the mexican captain can play without (i wish, hehe)
they may be the most irrelevant to the game, but what do you expect from someone who doesn’t even know what abseits means til a few days ago?! but hey, i watched nearly the whole germany-poland match (germany scored a goal at overtime!), so that means my attention span is improving!
go, germany! berlin, berlin, wir fahren nach berlin!

LOL on goalkeeper.
I am crushing on Gadankor (that guy who passed the ball to Neuville so he could goal).
Don#t you just love the energy here in germany?! one of the few times when I am loving it here. haha

the other day, naglipana ang mga pulis kalawakan sa giessen hehe. aba akala ko meron silang drug dealers na huhulihin, yun pala, babantayan lang ang mga nanonood ng Germany/Poland game. complete pa ang costume nila, parang mga SWAT in green.

rhada, yung dalawang helicopters na yan ay mainstay na sa ibabaw ng area namin since a couple of weeks ago. pero not purely because of football fans. there are student demonstrations going on, e syempre para maximum effect, itaon ba naman sa german match! hay, wais!

i just love this game…with all the tackles and body slams - WALANG SUNTUKAN….galing.
Thank God for “Work from Home” conditions, I havent missed a game. I even watch it (MUTED) during phone meetings
what i like best are the drama queens - yung namimilipit sa sakit, tapos kapag hindi napansin ng referee, biglang tatayo at tatakbo ng mabilis…hahaha

there should be a football rule that gorgeous players should not be subjected to wearing a uniform. only then would football have my complete attention.

last world cup, was held in korea and japan..i watched the games and cheered for the players when they make a goal…as in wala akong pakialam kung kaninong side..i just love the energy that they put in playing the game. i actually like oliver kahn’s (the goalkeeper) fierce look, parang kakainin yung bola sa talas ng mata niya! korea will be playing against the swiss on the 23rd…ill be cheering for them! hurray for worldcup. btw, in my opinion, the italians are mucho guapos! ;D
