not yet
much as i wish i could already give birth soon, i can’t:
1. i just started my third trimester. too early.
2. we just halfway shopping for baby stuff - still need a stroller, a sling, a changing table and a myriad other bits and bobs
3. we haven’t decided on names yet. we do have 2 weeks following birth to register the baby, but what do you call the baby within those 2 weeks?!
4. we haven’t gone for a hospital tour yet. and they just do it once a month, so we just have 2 chances.
5. i don’t have a birth plan yet. i haven’t even discussed the birth with my doc yet. i think this time, i want an epidural the first minute i can get it.
6. i still have to come to terms with the cost of giving birth here. in germany, i never even saw the bills; everything is paid for by the insurance.
7. i still have to decide on a push present, hehe. apparently gold chains are popular choices, but i’m not into jewelry. so….. an asus? hehe
8. gotta tidy up the apartment; need to buy more bookshelves.
9. gotta tick off work projects, and plan a feasible work-at-home schedule when baby is there.
10. gotta stock up on sleep.

I so agree on number 10. Samantalahin na habang wala pa ang baby!!! And yeah, PDA aka epidural. It hurt like heck when I had it (the anaesthesiologist missed the spot the first try, so he had to start all over again), but the labor and birthing process was a lot calmer…..

i laughed at #3…reminded me of when I had Jeff. his crib tag had “baby j***bon” written on it because we didn’t know what name to give. (we told the nurse to give us a couple of hours) we had a name for a baby girl…but never for a boy (what were we thinking?!)
and yeah…epidural…tama yan!

Thanks for idea #7. Never thought about a ‘push present’ before. I remember the first thing I asked from my hubby when I was wheeled out of the recovery room was a choco drumstick. Maybe this time I can ask for a new phone.

wishing you a safe delivery and for baby #2’s safe passage.

I never heard of a “push” present before. Sayang I’ve had tubal ligation after my third normal delivery. Perhaps, I’ll try to collect retroactively from the hubby
Think happy thoughts, it’ll help you calm down.

Next time I’m asking for a push present. As mine will be a planned c-section i won’t have to worry about epidural. I am already thinking about baby #2!

pinayhekmi– just curious… why a planned c-section?

I’m sure I need more info, pero I had Mina as a C-section. I know I can have a VBAC but now I know what to expect from a C-section as opposed to the unknown (for me) of a vaginal birth. I’ll be sure to weigh the pros and cons first though. But yes, I’m already even thinking about names for the second baby. W thinks I”m crazy and I’m sure he’s right.
